Before becoming involved in Dermatology, I was the Practice Manager & Medical assistant to a General Medical Practice since 1996. Did reception duties, billing, collections, practice management & also assisted in dental procedures such as Implant placements & extractions for a leading Maxillo Facial Surgeon. I assisted a General Surgeon with setting up a new practice and also help with procedures such as Gastroscopies.
In 2009 I took up the responsibility as General Manager of the LCM Skin and Laser Clinic and assisted in establishing this facility as an admirable benchmark in the industry of Dermatology. This outstanding clinic provides support to nine Specialist Dermatologists.
I become involved with the visionary Skinmatters in 2013 who pioneered Mohs surgery under the accomplished guidance of Specialist Dermatologist Dr. Pieter Du Plessis.
I operate as Administrative Laboratory Manager at this first-ever Mosh Surgery Centre of Excellence.
At Skinmatters we also offer services to less fortunate patients that cannot afford to have skin cancers treated and do not have medical aid backup to fund these surgeries. I provide patient care and medical assistance during procedures and emotional support to these patients.
Saskia Wubbeling

Saskia joined the Skinmatters team in March 2018.
Saskia is the contact liaison between the referring doctor’s practice and the Skinmatters Mohs and Reconstruction unit. Once the referral has been made, Saskia contacts the patient and sets up a consultation appointment and provides feedback to the referring doctor’s rooms. She provides all the necessary documentation prior to surgery to the patients and confirms all the specifics around the Mohs procedure.
She is also actively involved in the Mohs laboratory.
Saskia possesses the zest, the love, the empathy, the all in one kind of magic personality that sets all the patients at ease, welcoming them into our “family” from the first point of contact until the end of the Mohs surgery.
